I saw one n a music shop. Not very impressive, and not priced competitively, with what's out there. Probably Mighty-Mite quality at Warmoth prices. Not close to what Warmoth, Hefner, AllParts or USACG are building.

They are as good as a Warmoth, they just don't offer the selection or options. Their Vintage necks are too thin and too orange for my taste, though. I've used a bunch of 'em for various things, and I only had one problem, which was corrected immediately.

Howdy,

I've often wondered about WD as well; Interesting thread. I've dealt with Warmoth and USACG and would patronize USACG again, fwiw.

I don't think they are way overpriced. I've had several and they are good quality. Any more, though, I'd prefer to buy a Fender neck off of eBay, or get an unfinished neck from Warmoth and finish it myself.

If you want a vintage fretboard radius and frets you're stuck with a thin neck similar to what Fender's MIJ stuff used to come with. They also use too much tint for it to look naturally aged.

If you want something chunky, you are going to wind up with a 12" fretboard radius and medium-jumbo frets. I've built a few for friends who likd that neck a lot, but I want a 7-1/4" radius. If they would do the chunky neck with a vintage radius, I'd never buy anywhere else. I could have, as a dealer, had them build some for me, but I would have to order at least 6, and I just can't afford that kind of investment.

Another thing is that their Rosewood boards are red and you have to stain them if you want that dark look. Not a big deal to me, but it might be more work than you want.

I've come to realize that what I want in a neck is a MIM 69 Thinline or Classic 50s reissue neck with low-wide frets. I can get something similar at Warmoth for ~ $150 plus shipping unfinished.
