Got old school sailor tattoos at 19, in the Navy (Clipper ship, parrot, heart with old flame's name in it, dragon, Grim Reaper, snake) circa 1969.
They've held up pretty well for almost 40 years. I've never worked anywhere it mattered (blue collar). Almost no regrets: my wife of 32 years says now she liked me despite them. Maybe it's because it ain't HER name in the heart. Oh well. Illegible now anyways just from sun exposure over time. The parrot is inside my left forearm, and has held up very well because it got way less sun over the years. Sunscreen your stuff, folks! |
