No pics of mine, but...

*Lady Luck (with oversize 8 ball boobs) on my left bicep, laid out Virgin of Guadalupe style with screwdrivers and wrenches as the rays of the corona. Supported by a laughing skeleton holding it all up on a red Stratocaster.

*Flaming 8 ball on right bicep

*"Gravy Boat/Maximum C & W" horseshoe around right elbow. Spent 10 years in that band, I think the only way I'm leaving is feet-first after that

*In-memory-of tattoo of my superpitbull Malcolm on left shoulder blade

*Simple blue star, in-memory-of for friend killed by a drunk driver, on my right shoulder blade

*Red Hot Riding Hood cartoon pinup girl on left forearm

*50s butterscotch Telecaster (direct from print ad) from wrist to elbow on right forearm

Gonna get a portrait of my dad in WWII MP gear inside my right forearm.

I'd love to see that - I collect Haida art.

I got one when I turned 50. I figured I was old enough to know what I was doing...

My wife wasn't very hot about that, but it was a gift "from me to me" that I could refuse.

It is a guitar with some slide playing on it, my own design.

I recently got 2 in one day, my first ones. (8-08-08) My son suggested we get tattoos when I went to see him. His first as well (he's in CT, I'm in Fla) So off we went!

I got a Kanji symbol for "Son" on the inside of my right forearm (He's my right hand man I told him ) and he got a Kanji symbol for "Father" on his.

But the first one I got that day was..........now dont laugh........was Tigger playing my Tele. (mom always called me Tigger.....havent a clue why either!)

I figured I was there and couldnt decide which one to get so I said I'll have both!

And no booze was involved either. As a matter of fact, I hit 12 years sober on 8-28. Its been one heck of a journey!

congrats on your anniversary!! I know that without AA and a higher power, I wouldn't be playing guitar like I am today, or anything else for that matter!!

I actually got my first tattoo last week, an african symbol composed of roots (yes, way too many philosophy classes). I'd been sitting on my hands for about 5 years, and the lady friend gave me a "coupon" for it for Christmas. She just keeps getting better.

I've got a few.

Spaghetti "F" logo on top of right shoulder

A design of my own representing "sound, music, hearing" on the other and,

a Monkey, holding a peach (Buddhist pilgrim, or traveller) with the Nepali script for "Slowly, Slowly" underneath on my right breast.

I'll try and get some pics.

I'm getting ideas together for another, Tele related of course.

Ive got the comic book character 'The Punisher" on my left arm...and as many of you know I just lost my beautiful bulldog, Daisy, so to always have her with me, I will be getting her tattoo'd on my right shoulder Tuesday September 9th. Found a guy in East Hartford who is amazing with photographs.

thanks mojocasterman!

most of the credit can go to Ghost aka John Baxter in the Chicago area. He has a very twisted mind and a lot of artistic talent. I kept track of the time to complete it, about 42 hours under the needle in 12 sessions. We have a vision for the other arm (which is partially done) and some connecting ideas across the chest. Then there is the the idea for the back. It is addictive.

When I think of the clothes I was wearing when I was 25, there aren't too many of them I'd stlll be happy with today.
That's why I'm glad I didn't get a tattoo.
(Not that it was ever an option the way I feel about needles.)

The details in the tuning pegs and the fingers are amazing. I love that tattoo. Thanks for posting it again.

I don't have any yet but I would like to get one.. maybe two.. probably my dog and something Mayan. I have been trying to decide who to have them done by. How do you find an artist you trust? Is there a web resource other than the tattoo shops website? Or do you just find someone that there work looks good to you? It seems like every time I see someone with a tattoo that looks really well done the artist is not local here.
