Tim McGraw personally ejects rowdy fan(video)

Don't know if you guys have seen this one yet...Tim handles a woman puncher...nice.

This is from the gossip rag site, people.com, my wife just showed it to me, I promise.

Country singer Tim McGraw doesn't just dress and talk the cowboy part, he backs it up with action. Just ask a rowdy concert-goer, who found out first-hand when McGraw personally booted him from his show Tuesday night.

McGraw was singing "Indian Outlaw" in Auburn, Wash., when he noticed a large man causing a ruckus in the front row, allegedly striking a woman. McGraw said, "Get rid of this guy! Security!" and then stooped down and dragged the man onstage, where security guards took him away.

At one point, the man and McGraw seemed ready to get into a full-fledged fracas, with McGraw cocking his fist back as if to throw a punch.

" "While Tim was performing at the White River Amphitheater in Auburn, Washington, last night, he watched a man rush to the front of the stage," McGraw's rep told PEOPLE. "This overly aggressive fan attacked a female fan and Tim witnessed this incident. Tim called for security, but when they could not respond quick enough, Tim and several crew members removed the fan from the audience where he was then turned over to the local authorities."

The incident was first reported on TMZ.

McGraw's had run-ins with overly aggressive fans before. Last year, a female fan grabbed the singer's crotch while he was onstage. Wife Faith Hill immediately put the woman in her place."

Good stuff.

In 1989 (Kansas City, Kemper Arena), I saw Tom Petty stop the entire band mid-song. He then addressed a security guard who apparently hit a fan and told him "Don't ever hit anyone at one of my shows. IT's peace that's gonna save you."

He then picked up exactly where he left off and on went the show. Man, I love Tom Petty.

Hmmm, the guy was wearing shorts AND a cowboy hat.

Good for Tim McGraw to call the guy out and have him removed from the show.
Not for the guys fashion faux-paux but for his senseless stupidity.

Am i just getting too cynical or did that all look a little staged ?
That guy looked like no lightweight, if that was real 'action' why didn't he just drag McGraw off the stage when he stratched out his arm ?

Luckily these things always happen right in front of the star where they can intervene for us.

Apologies if it was really genuine.

I've heard that song isn't taken very well with the American Indian society.

Wouldn't it have been ironic if...while T. McGraw was singing Indian Outlaw...the alleged aggressive fan would have been dressed up as an Indian?

Just sayin'.

No apology needed! That was as fake as can be. Much like a magician or comedian seeding the audience with a "straight man" that was staged. TM gets a bunch of free publicity and comes off as the Cowboy Hero, defender of battered women.

If Sandra, my partner, saw some other woman trying to grab my crotch she would probably need oxygen to revive her afer collapsing with laughter, she certainly wouldn't be "putting her in her place", i kinda think there's something very unclassy about a cat fight ---- even if it's over me !

Still, as they say, "Any publicity is good publicity".

Would McGraw have jumped into the crowd if there were a bunch of Hells Angels there punching, like Marty Balin did
(see below), instead of a drunk fat guy?

A woman grabbed my crotch as I played onstage, and she was in the 3rd row.

Not long after i had my dentures i laughed so hard at something onstage i bit someone in the 3rd row !

I never wear my glasses on stage because after row 6 i could be in Shea stadium with 100,000 folk loving me.

*Sad but true*

If I didn't wear my contacts or glasses I wouldn't be able to find the stage, let alone my guitar.

It did seem to me that the portly gentleman from the audience was being rather compliant with being dragged up on stage. If he was such a badass in a bad mood that he was beating up a woman you'd think that being grabbed by McGraw would'a made him even more ornery.

Does McGraw need the publicity so badly that he has to stage something like that? How are his record sales?

Being aggressive with a woman isn't badass. It's lame.
And if someone with McGraw's biceps reaches down to grab him, do you really think he's gonna fight back? He seemed to be trying to pull away. McGraw had leverage. There's not much the guy could do once he's hauled off his feet. It looked pretty real to me.

I particularly liked how the fiddle kicked in at the moment the guy was yanked onstage.

If it was staged, they must have rehearsed it quite a bit.

Thanks man!! Almost forgot about that one...Hilarious!!!!

That goober at the McGraw concert looked like he was going to an ICP(Insane Clown Posse) show. Just a juggalo!!!

I assume nearly everything is staged these days.

Staged or not...

...this was real. And very funny.

Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers became frustrated at a rather moronic, over-zealous, agrressive and down right out of order Security Guard at the recent London Drummer Live:

Obviously taken on someone's mobile phone, it's a shame you don't see Chad Smith jump from the stage and square nose-to-nose with the moron.

So funny and Chad achieved mega-hero status with already 100s of adourning fans!

He's a great guy and we had the pleasure to spend some time chatting with him, getting stuff signed and various photo opportunities.

Not sure about Mr. McGraw's stunt though!

Peter

Good stuff! That Chad dude is Huuuuge too! I'm about 6 feet tall and he towered over me when I stood next to him at a Mike Watt show years ago.

I don't really care one way or the other frankly but to me it just doesn't look very 'real'.

And as far as leverage goes I think you've got it all wrong. The 260lb dude thats 4' below McGraw (who's having to bend down to reach him) has both leverage and gravity on his side. Biceps ain't gonna save you in that situation. One little tug and McGraw would'a gone arse over tea kettle.

In fact I just watched it again and if I'm not hallucinating it looks to me like the 'perpetrator' actually hops up onto the stage and the boys just give him a hand up. Look on the vid and you can easily see he steps back and then takes a little hop up toward the stage. In fact he has to do it twice before he actually gets his le
