Brad Paisley's New Tour - he's playing "Nervous Breakdown" again...
just saw a bootlegged video on youtube from one of his shows on his new tour (Paisley Party Tour), looks like he changed a few things around compared to his recently finished "Bonfires & Amplifiers Tour".
Namely this, he's playing the Nervous Breakdown again as the instrumental!! I'm a bit bummed out that they're not making their way to Canada for this tour though. I'm a bit of a Paisley fanatic, so i'm always up on the latest stuff of his. On a separate bootlegged vid i saw i noticed him playing "Mr. Policeman" and after the second verse he seamlessly incorporates the chorus from Jerry Reeds "East Bound and Down", then him and Gary Hooker have a tele duel pick-off laced with licks and riffs from the original song. It sounded pretty cool. If you can catch him live on this round of touring go for it. He's bound to be at his best when the main focus of the show isn't promoting his newest album. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but i will say that when i saw him here last october there were some songs i wanted to hear that got cut from the list (Like 'Me Neither'). Cheers Folks! oh, FYI his instrumental album should be out soon, looking forward to that one!! He's jumping back to his "Time Well Wasted" album to release his next single from ("Waitin' on a Woman"). That's all from this Paisley fanatic for now, hehe...

hehe, well the first time i ever saw him (and i've seen him 3 times) he played his Spaghetti Western Swing/Munster Rag instrumental, the 2nd time they played Time Warp, and the last time i saw him he played Throttleneck.
I've never seen him play Nervous Breakdown live (except on the youtube video). I don't know if he ever quit playing it, but i know up 'till now he's been playing the instrumentals that focus on his latest album. I guess since his last tour promoting 5th Gear is over he's gone back to playing the old instrumental. Wish i could see him play it live Cheers

Hey, if it's that video you are talking about this is the one I posted on youtube http://youtube.com/watch?v=Cv_eju2_Le4
When he started playing it I was really surprised too, I wasn't expecting that one, man that was kick ass! he also did another one that I never heard of before, which was more like a surf guitar instrumental style...maybe it will be on the next instrumental album |
