I saw him at one of those some years back. What a humbling experience, and what a great guy to boot. He played every Taylor they handed him. When he picked up a Baby Taylor I just sort of snickered to myself.

Then he started to play it.
I now own one , use it when I go camping, etc.

Doyle is phenomenal.

I saw Dykes about a year ago for the first time when he came here to do one of the Taylor seminars, though not at the music store they held it at. That evening he also played privately on an old, renovated movie theater stage in downtown Rapid City.

He was mezmerizing, and I don't think I've ever heard a guitar player of his caliber in my life...at least live (though I'm still 'recovering' from watching Prince and Jeff Beck perform...even if only on TV).

He's very religious, and when not playing directly for Taylor his concerts are, without exaggeration, about half church sermon though. But that's a big part of his life so it just goes with the deal. Incredible player.
