What pick for surf music
I've been trying to play surf music lately but can't find a pick that works fast enough. Tried heavy, medium, light. Any suggestions? Also, does it matter what gauge strings you use?

heavier picks work best for me when playing hard and fast -- a lighter pick won't bounce back quickly enough. as for strings, conventional wisdom is use the heaviest gauge you can handle comfortably.

I use medium .86mm pick with 11 strings...Just practice slow with a metronome for trem picking...It takes months to be able to do it well. You want good timing, and an even attack.
