Hannah Montana T-style (By Washburn for Disney)

I didn't know this was out there until I saw it yesterday at a shop near my office:

You get the best of both worlds!

***You'll only get the reference if you have a young daughter like I do.

....kind of embarrassed that i got the reference immediately

as far as these type guitars go, in my opinion, if just one young girl (or boy) picks up guitar and sticks with it her whole life, then let every music store in the country fill their walls with them!!

I'd own a Averil Tele, that looks like a blown up version of a Barby toy to me.

Can she even play? I saw her dancing around singing and letting the real musicians do the hard work. Not that her songs are that difficult.

.....and not that I now how difficult they are.

Excuse me while I go vomit.

Might be ugly, but if it makes kids play, then it's worth it.

I think anything that brings kids into music, even pop music, is a good thing.

I don't get the hate.

The Beatles were the biggest pop band of all time. With a cartoon show.

I say good for Miley, good for Billy Ray, and good for music.

The first music I was into (besides 80's/90's easy listening pop stuff in my mom's car) was the local hip-hop station. Looking back I can't say I was ever a fan, but it was what "everyone" listened to and what the girls danced to, so I figured, why not?

After that I stuck to my mom's station. Still nothing grabbing me.

Then it was the local modern rock station. That's where things started getting interesting. I also started playing guitar.

A few years later I was listening to that along with the classic rock station, getting better at guitar, subscribing to guitar magazines, getting into the old Cuban stuff my dad listens to and generally exposing myself to all sorts of stuff, figuring out what I really like and why.

We all start somewhere.

I teach a little girl who has the Acoustic Hannah Montana guitar. I have seen it at Target for 89 bucks. It is a good guitar and would be a great starter for any young girl. I bet this one ain't bad either.

In spite of it's heritage, I think it's a cool looking guitar. I bet it'd be good for slide.

There is a little girl about 7 years old who is taking guitar lessons where my son does. She has the Hanna Montana acoustic guitar.

If it got her interested in playing, that's great. She can always upgrade later.

Yep, I totally get it. My six year old daughter (the one in my avatar) got a toy Hannah Montana guitar for her birthday and it plays that song. Sorry in advance for the audio.
