Ya or Nay
I was just 'looking' and ran across this. I'm not in the market for anything but I wondered about the price...

Big Nay.
I think the seller is $1000 high. The guitar is worth about $800 and the amp is worth about $800. I might offer $1500 for both. God bless them for trying but the price seems pretty high to me. Just my opinion. John

investment or musical instrument
If you are looking at this like an investment.......you know....buy it for 10, sell it for 11......if you have 10-15 years to let it sit and hope you find someone who wants to buy it for more than you paid for it.......then buy it........welcome to guitar investment world
If you are looking for a musical instrument to play, NAY for that money you can buy a much better guitar.....thats if you want to really play. fyi, gold is a much better commodity to trade for profit

I'm pretty much a vintage Squier man but really know nothing about Bronco's other than they were (in their time) equal to the Fender Starcaster available at Wal-Mart today. The amp I've seen from $500.00 and up...
It seemed a bit steep to me but geeze, I thought $3.25 for gas two weeks ago was expensive. It's such a volatile market when you're outta the loop..!

Oh, big nay on that--unless you have an unreasonable Bronco fetish. I don't think Fender student guitars are a good investment at this point. I was in the store the other day and a guy wanted to try and sell a 70's Mustang and wanted to know what the store would give him for it. They offered $400-600 explaining that they were going to ask $1200 for it, tops. He blew up, since he'd paid $1800 for it three years ago and was expecting it to appreciate like a Strat or Tele (and a pre-CBS one at that...).
It's a pity that Fender's "student" instruments are overwhelmingly short-scale, which really hurts their long-term appeal in my opinion. An LP Jr is a lot more guitar than a Bronco.
