reminds me of.....
....those kitchen appliances that came in colours like "avocado", and "harvest gold" that were all the rage back in the earl '70s.

No disrespect to Antigua fans meant, because your tastes are just as legitimate as anyone else's, but wasn't that finish inspired by 70's kitchen appliances? To me, the only thing that could make that finish even less appealing would be a mother of toilet seat pickguard. But that's just me. Mike Brady, call your office.

Hideous. Poor guitar. I feel sorry for it.
The link in the auction (http://www.gbase.com/Stores/Gear/Gea...x?Item=1858246) takes you to a page where he has it priced at $945.

I think there is a certain charm to that finish, but like Jelly said...if I could live with it, the first thing I would do is slap a white guard on it.

Or he's counting on someone smoking some before buying.

He's obviously listing it on ebay only to advertise it there and wants only the $945 he's asking on gbase for it.
It looks like a possibly hard to find CIJ model 2003 Tele in mint condition with hardshell case. The $945 price might be okay, but judging from many negative responses here the number of prospective buyers is probably low. I think it looks pretty, but I don't need another Tele. ![]()

I LOVE antigua Teles, but that Japanese version just doesn't look very good.

Kinda looks like a set of plates I bought at a garage sale once. I think they were from the 60's.
Also bought an aluminum Christmas tree there. Nobody ever said I had good taste.

Like the pink paisley, it's for the Tele player who doesn't care what you think, for someone who can back up their choice of colour with their playing. I don't know if I can, that's probably why I don't own one. But I wish I could one day... Didn't the originals have a more gradual change of colour around the outer rim? This one has a very drastic change from light vomit green to dark vomit green... |

... doesn't the Fender catalog call it "light vomit avocado"?
