Done like dinner, dude. I've been putting off activating my online account for a long time. You finally gave me the kick in the pants I needed. I get Eddie Trunk from 3-7 pacific. When will you be on, in this time zone?

Boneyard is my favorite station!!!

yeah, not ME on but Doug.Wish he'd say that Chris Meyer and his new band Asphalt Valentine is AWESOME and the next big thing, but #1 not true and #2 it's hard enough to get him to even admit in his own living room that KingsX are a great band! Wierd. We watched a video of their performance at the 94 woodstock show and he looks at me after "over my head"and says"I guess we are pertty good." Yeah",I said,"pretty good Dork!"
I had goosebumps on my arm at the time!

he's talking about a post a couple years ago railing about maybe giving up because of their Kings X Message Board thread, and I can tell ya first hand that their "fans"at least the ones on their board, are total *******s and I'd hate to have those guys as my fans.
I couldn't even stay there.I got jumped for just trying to get the word out that Jerry had that CD with my band out !
That's why I value THIS board SO much,it gets a little hot sometimes, but we always stick together, and I'm pretty sure that if we were hanging out at a bar and some outsider tried to mess with one of us,the rest of us would jump their ass!

True words. I can't think of a better group of people. I've met Trimmed 'n Burnin' twice, and have hung with Goldilocks, he lives 15 miles away. I'm going to attempt to play bass with his new group too.

Hoping to meet more members, too.

Weird why King's X never got bigger. I remember the huge buzz they had going with Gretchen Goes To Nebraska years ago. Poor promotion? Management? Was the music over most people's heads?

We have a similar band here, Voivod. I was reading an interview with the drummer, last week. He says the music doesn't pay his rent, and he does album art for other bands to make ends meet. And this is after 14 albums.

This is a band that Metallica, Soundgarden, and Faith no More once opened for.

It was Management.
And yeah, you know they toured with everybody that was anybody and even opened for Pearl Jam on 10 and if you check out the liner notes on 10 Dougs right up at the top of the Thanks section!
All those 90's guys were totally inspired by Kings X and there's even a CD in the can with him and Jeff Ament of PJ

as far as money goes,Doug and Ty have never had to work jobs and Jerry only picks up studio work,BUT they're structured legally in order of"contribution"to the music.
Ty makes the most(or MADE),Doug next then Jerry.
Jerry was dirving a ford Astro in 2001,and was renting a house with his kids. Doug always has a new blazer and his house is a sweet 4-dbrm ranch(with a hot tub that never got used untill we got there),and Ty has a bigger house and nicer stuff.
,but I didn't spend alot of time with him.
They do enough to not work but they each have to live in their means.Too bad they never took off like they shoud have.

They're talkin about his life style to stay so young and healthy.
We call him Smoothie cause he gets up at 7 and makes this sick-ass vitiman / fish oil/ strawberry smoothie and works out.I worked out with him,but that Smoothie was too wack for me!
