Amazing Slow-Downer Trial Version??

I'm thinking of getting this little product.....is it worth the $$ and how long does the 'trial' version last?

I've had the trial on my pc for about 6 months and it still works .
I haven't bought it because they won't accept paypal or debit card , and I don't use credit cards , and no way will I send cash .
I can get by fine just by using the slow down version on my windows media player , Win DVD or guitar port that came with my pod xt which will also loop it .
A lot of guys think highly of the programme .

The trial version of ASD doesn't have a time limit, but it will only slow down the first two cuts on a CD. It's a great tool, you should try it out.

Btw, the site says they take PayPal, and also offer other payment options if you don't have PP or a CC:

Well spotted .
They do indeed take Paypal now .

From the site :
New! Besides paying with your credit card you may now also choose to pay with your PayPal account at the Kagi Online Store.

Can't see why they took so long , but now i'm interested

Roni Music's Amazing Slow Downer is the greatest software tool ever created for guitarists. I've used it for years... It pays for itself virtually the first time you use to transcribe and learn a song...from the artist himself...who could ask for more? It does everything you could ask for in slow downer software and does it really well!

I've been using it for so long that I can't even remember when I bought it.

I've been very happy with Transcribe! by Seventh String Software.

http://www.seventhstring.com/

A friend of mine had the slow downer, it was a big heavy program, installed all kinds of stuff in your registry, and was prone to crashing.

Transcribe is a much more compact program, does everything I want, and it's very stable on my machines.

I've never experienced that at all and have installed in on several PC's. If anything, the software feels light, in that it has a very basic, functional and non-cluttered control interface.

My experience with the Amazing Slow Downer was a few years ago. In 2003 I compared it to Transcribe 6.0. I haven't compared the latest versions of both programs, so I don't know which is better.

In '03, Transcribe was more stable on my machine, and my friend's machine too. I've been using it ever since. I should probably spring for the upgrade to version 7, but version 6 still works fine for me.

I've been trying to get this little program (still) but.....I went and purchased an international Money Order (as was detailed in the email I got from Roni Music) and I wasn't able to send it to Sweden. Why? Swedish banks do not accept international money orders as Roni Music falsely indicated so....now I've got a $130.00 money order that I was going to get this software with....

Isn't there an easy way to do things anymore? I'm not sending them cash and I don't have a PayPal account (for various reasons).

Any suggestions? I read a post in this thread that says that Windows Media Player has a 'slow-downer" feature? How does it work?
