Epi Les Paul Ultra II
Anyone try one of these yet? Chambered, acoustic pickup on the fretboard and multiple outputs. Zzounds has it in four payments. My impulse buying gland is starting to twitch.....

Addon to the Les Paul Ultra II - The Epiphone site has a picture of the chambered body. I thought I read somewhere that the guitar weighs something like 6 pounds.

One of my students just bought one. Plays nice, looks great. I didn't realize it was chambered, that explains why it was a lot louder than a standard solidbody acoustically.
One thing I really liked was that the finish on the neck was more of a satin-y finish, unlike the high gloss on the top. I didn't plug in the acoustic pick-up, but electrically it sounds like a (no surprise here) les paul. Made in Korea. |

-I haven't seen one in person, but the video clip from Guitar World sounds pretty sweet. I like it near the end when he mixes both p'ups together. It almost sounds like that hollow, SRV tone coming through the Lester.

I've wanted a les paul for a while, but didn't wanna buy the new standard because it's chambered, I didn't think spending that much money on Less paul was worth it, however I am drawn to the Ultra II. Sounds like a really cool guitar, tummy contour and all. The nano mag is a bonus in my opinion. If my bc rich bich on ebay doesn't sell, I might be tempted to part ex for one of these.
