Advice for shipping a load of stuff to Europe

I work with some volunteers (poor ones!) who need a cheap way to ship their belongings back to Germany.
About 250 lbs.
Any suggetsions?

Find a sympathetic someone who is doing an international move with their corporation.
We did this last November- the cost of moving an entire house full of furniture and my recording studio was in the tens of thousands.
Another 250 lbs wouldn't have mattered at all to the overall cost.

If I was making the offer I would of course want to see each and every item in the 250lbs, for security sake.

Other than that... international freight simply isn't cheap.

TNTExpress

TNT Express

I was referred to them by Matt DeSilva, GuitarMannyNYC guitar store.

"I use TNT Freight for international packages and they're faster & cheaper than UPS, FEDEX, etc. They're also a European company so they get things right through in Europe"
