Albert Lee Country masterclass in London
I've just read in the new UK "Guitar Buyer" magazine that a two-day Country event has been organised by the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in Kilburn, NW London, over the weekend May 31st - June 1st, for intermediate-level players (it says here in the mag). It's due to include a masterclass by Albert Lee.
For further info or to reserve a place on the programme the number to call is 020 7328 0222, or visit www.icmp.uk.com/country-weekend.aspx. If I weren't booked to be travelling on holiday that weekend I'd be there for sure (Grrr! - wish I'd known sooner

Oops! Yes, I believe you're right, now I come to think of it. That'll dilute the appeal of the course a bit but there are seemingly some other really good guys on it as well - Lee Hodgson is one name I saw. I wonder who they'll get to dep for Albert? As if anyone could, that is...
Edit: if I'm not mistaken the photo on the web page shows Albert playing his signature MM through a Trademark 60. No biggie, just saying...

I get emails from ICMP as I am studying there later in the year.
I just got this: Quote:

Thanks for that info, Jim. With luck, from my point of view, it'll be rearranged for a time when I can make it. The quoted cost for the whole weekend at £249 is a bit steep but in the long run may well be worth paying for a number of reasons.
