Respect Yourself
I'm watching Respect Yourself, a history of the Stax label. Amazing good stuff, of course, and some nice Teles on the neck of the Colonel. A full rosewood Tele later, and a white Tele with a rosewood fretboard from the classic period. I've always been a maple neck guy, but I'll appreciate that beauty.
The music is, of course, top shelf, and it's very interesting as history. I didn't realize the Lorraine Motel, being a black-owned hotel in Memphis, was a hangout for the Stax musicians and songwriters, too.
