Hey there
Not sure what it's like dollar wise for you but over here I've found it cheaper to source from the US of A than to get a store or dealer here to provide anything.
Probably doesn't help. Just my 2 cents. Well 10 cents actually seen as that's the lowest denomination now. |

Hey Outbreak, I've got 2 schools of thought here. Not sure where you're from (I'm in Melbourne) but Paul Gale from Soundworks (Ringwood, Victoria) gets me bodies and necks from AMS. I put a Tele together with these parts and it's wonderful. Made my Fender American standard look pretty shabby, and at half the price (including an A1 spray job).
A few years back I ordered a body and neck from Warmoth in the USA. I got Paul to assemble and set up said guitar and it is my #1 axe. I'd be so brazen as to liken it to a Custom Shop "Nocaster" I had a chance to pick. Again at a fraction of the price. If I was to go again, I'd pick Warmoth. The folks there were absolutely first rate. And the guitar knocks me out every time. Hope this helps. Regards.

Most of the Australian sellers are selling the same Chinese stuff you can get on ebay for cheaper.
Stairway to Kevin sells necks and bodies for $99 a piece, but I wouldn't be expecting much - parting out a second hand Squire and re finishing it would make more sense. At least that way you know the East Asian fellas who made it have some duty to quality control.
