@&#@$#!!! Youtube videos not working!

Whenever I click on a Youtube video that someone has in a post I get "We're sorry, this video is no longer available." I know there's no way that can be true for all of them. What is wrong with my PC? I tried clearing the cache and even tried 2 different browsers (IE and Firefox). Any ideas?

Thanks in advance guys.

Someone has disabled the "embedding" ability. You can probably still view it on youtube, just not via another website.

Thanks for the reply. How do I fix that?

**Just to be clear, I can see the video window, you know, as if it is paused. It's not like when I'm at work and its blocked. There I only see a blank square.

I should probably add that when I actually go to youtube.com and click on a video it usually doesn't play. I just get that little circle thing going round and round in the center of the window. AAAAAARRGH!!

Don't feel lonesome!
I've been seeing variations of the same thing - from work on a 10Mbps fiber connection, I have no problems.

From my apartment on a 1.5Mbps connection, I have the same problem you describe.

At home, on a faster DSL connection - no problem.

Sometimes refreshing the page will allow the video to play - but not always.

I first noticed this issue with YouTube about a month ago - when did you first see it?

The last few days, none of the embedded vids on this site have been working.

Frequently (for the last few weeks at least) I'll be watching a video and it'll just stop with the little circle-arrow thingie. Rewind a few seconds, it plays up to that point and stops again. Forward past that point and it'll pick up again, but just won't play the section prior. If I reload the page it will sometimes play through the point at which it stopped before, but then just stops somewhere else.

What I want to know is why, whenever I visit youtube, it takes me to the UK version of the site? Even when I clear all the private data (cookies, etc.) out of Firefox it always takes me back there. Is there not a US version of the site and I've just never noticed it?

Yep, I first noticed it about a month ago. It started as a problem where the first second of the video would play and then stop. Now this. Maybe i'll try to plug straight into the router and see if it still happens.

I'm just giving this a little BUMP because I posted it late last night and I thought there might be a lot more people online now that could possibly have the answer.

Thanks!

Fixed!

I seem to have fixed my problem. I downloaded Firefox 3 Release Client 1. Videos are playing so far. Just thought I'd let y'all know because some of you said you had the same problem.

I've just noticed in the last couple of days that when I go to play a vid on youtube I can't make it bigger - that button doesn't do anything. What gives?
