A new game...

Watching Frontline.. an episode about some poor folks that got trapped in a storm on Everest... I started thinking... 'we need a new game on the tdpri'

when my kids were little they loved two games that I created for them... the first is a family history game that would not be that useful for the tdpri... but the second game could be a real kick... it is called which would you rather be?

So, here is how we play... you read a post which asks which would you rather be? and then two choices... you pick your choice, explain why and then offer up your own 'which would you rather be'? sound like fun? Okay, I'll start...

Would you rather be someone who climbed Everest or would you rather be able to play as good as jimmy bryant?

Choose. 'splain and create. GO.

That's easy - rather play great, lasts for a lifetime. Climbing a mountain is a singular experience.

Would you rather be very tall or very short?

very short! fit on planes, would look cooler on stage with colorado springs e so I could score the chick that Buckocaster digs!

Would you rather be able to play fluidly and creatively but never be able to determine the key you were in? or have perfect pitch but little facility on your instrument?

Fluidly and creatively ... then you don't need to know what key you're in.

Would you rather be able to see the future or go backward in time (only backward though)?

I would rather see the future. Every new second you could see your mistakes and what was to come and fix it so you could make another mistake and fix it.....

Would you rather be involved with Hitler or Jack the Ripper?

I'd rather be involved with Jack the Ripper, because I think he only killed women.

Would you rather be famous and successful, but as good as you're ever going to get, or unknown but good and getting better?

Famous and successful, too many good un's stay obscure and unhappy.

Would you rather be very scary hairy, or almost zero body hair and bald?

would you rather be stranded on an island for a year with a Telecaster and a Rockman or another human being?

Great guitar. You can have such a bond with your favorite guitar that you enjoy playing it unplugged.

Ginger or MaryAnn?

Amazing partscaster. I'm not a headstock snob.

Muscles like Stalone or brain like Einstien?

low powered vintage! just to play the twangy minor pentatonic Don Rich licks!

would you rather live on a ranch and ride horses for your main mode of travel during the day or live in a shack in the desert and ride a harley?

Low powered Vintage style. You can make 'em crank if you need to, but get more clean headroom on smaller amps.

Would you rather be a bear, or a picnic basket?

A bear, because Big John says that if you're going to be a bear be a Grizzly--besides you don't get slung into as many trunks that way.

Would you rather win a Nobel Prize or the lotto?

The lotto, because then I could drop everything else, and concentrate on winning a nobel prize.

Would you rather be a boat, or a lake?
