Mudcrutch

Giving this album a first listen...maybe a little too on the "country" side for me...I like some country, but am more of a classic rock guy...cool album the way it was recorded & the time in which it was done...I like "The Wrong Thing To Do" & "Lover Of The Bayou." Maybe it will grow on me.

I love this album. I think its some of the best work Petty has done in the last 10-15 years. Great vibe to it.

Mudcrutch has country-rock roots...heavy Byrds influence...hence Mike Campbell's use of a B Bender on this CD. "Lover the Bayou" is a Byrds song, Check out the original version(s) (live and studio version) on the Byrds' Untitled/Unnissued double CD...Clarence White at his B Bender best..

I was just visiting a friend who wouldn't let me listen to anything else! Luckily I really like it. More then Highway Companion to tell the truth. It's cool that Tom got the old band back together and got 'em out on the road for a little while. Maybe it'll inspire Neil Young to get his old band back together for some club dates.

I love the album.... I know some guys were dogging MC's bender work... I kind of like the simplicity myself... I really, really like it on a good stereo and LOUD.
