Bad GAS

Wanting either a 72 or 69RI Thinline and a 72 Custom Tele. It's a lot of bucks for me a caual player middle class earner to justify. So I gould get one of the above? Or since I don't play much I could get The Squier versions of each one for the price of one of the Fenders, I wonder how much I'd miss out on with the Squiers. As you can see this
GAS is warping my tiny little brain.

These are my two teles...my two electrics for that matter. They both have their place and I love them both for different reasons. The 72 Custom RI is my slide and heavier modern rock guitar...the Thinline is my jazzier and more tele-ish guitar.

Those two have been on my wishlist for a long time, but I don't deserve them so I wait for something used to pop up. Still waiting.

I thought about giving in to that Squire Thinline, instead of the 69RI. There's no cheap option for the 72 Custom, so I'll probably just make a Fat Tele out of an MIM Std.

I always scan through Craigslist and usually see a lot of pointy guitars, Strats, and cheap acoustics. But last week I nabbed a 72 Thinline, not exactly what I've been after but it should keep me content to substitute as a mix of other two.

Dear Derek,

I love my '69 Thinline MIM, it is my #1. It is the lightest electric guitar I have picked up, and it sounds and plays great. I also have the '72 Thinline MIM and I love it as well, but I prefer the single coil tones.

The '72 Custom would give you the best of both worlds, but I have not tried one.

Good luck with the GAS.
