Aria Pro II Help

I need some help finding out what model of Aria Pro II that is made in Korea I got this guitar back in 1995 from music in Medford, Oregon before it went out of business. It has Bolt on neck (just 3 bolts). I try to sign up for the Aria Forum but I can cause it thinks I spamming the board and yes I did try to contact web admins with no luck.

The music store where I used to take guitar lessons as a kid used to sell a lot of Aria Pro II guitars, but I cannot remember the name of it. This may be tedious, but you might have to just go to the Aria Pro II section and start to read the reviews, and hopefully you'll find one talking about a guitar with all the same features as the one you have...

I think that might be a Model PE.

Ok that help some. I wish there was way to look up the serial number on it to get more detail. Aria used to have customer service link up their web site has change so much that It's not there anymore.

Dating Aria Guitars
Dating Aria guitars is a mix of fair precision and historical triangulation. The early guitars did not contain serial numbers, so you have to go by the rough historical outlines here. There are no pot codes. In the mid-'70s serial numbers began to be used. At least for Aria guitars made by Matsumoku, the serial number contains the year of manufacture in the first one or two digits (Y##### or YY####). Thus, a guitar from 1979 might begin with 79####. One from 1981 might begin with 1#####. The scheme becomes less sure after 1987. Some Korean- made guitars use a serial number with year and week indicated in the first four digits (YYWW####). Thus 9628#### would be from the 28th week of 1996. However, this is not the case on all guitars, and some have serial numbers which are not date-coded.

Oh I should correct that I purchase this guitar in 1997 not 1995.

and I think the color is either see through green or green shade.

and I also think it's more the PE-studio Body

What is the serial number ?
Have you taken the neck off to see if the answer is present ?

You state it's not a Japanese Aria , so it's not worth a great deal , just incase you were wondering .

Nope it's made in Korea. I kinda figure it wouldn't be cause I didn't pay much for back then, so I seriously doubt it being worth a lot.

I'm just looking for exact model and wiring diagram cause when I plugged it in all I got was a bunch of noise. So when I took the control cavity off I notice one of the wires has come off and need to find where it was and re solder it back on correctly.

Hey, Tazz! Nice guitar.

When you were over on the Aria Forum, did you actually get signed in? If so, they may have it set up so you have to participate in old threads before you can start a thread. That keeps those spammers in check, and I wish more boards would do that. It's kind of a pain, but you get a whole lot less ads for Viagra and pron and more of what you want from the site!

My first electric that wasn't a toy back in the early 80s...an Aria Pro II RS Special...strat copy, black with a white pickguard. I put a SD in the bridge & a dimarzio in the middle, neck stayed stock, added speed knobs...played it for years...I am looking at it now! Played great - I should probably get strat knobs and a decent set of noiseless pups back on there & play it some...it is just "art" now...never play it.

I have not seen one in a long time, but the music store I used to buy from used to sell them in the early 80's. Excellent guitars if I remember correctly.
