when I was in high school I used to get them all the time, Had them cut out five times before I went to the Padres Team Doctor. He took them both off and put some sort of acid in the nail beds which killed them, now I have no nails at all on my big toes... sure made playing baseball much more fun once they were gone. No more bloody socks after games.

To anyone who suffers from recurring ingrown toenails; do yourself a favor and have it corrected professionally. I suffered with this malady for years before manning up and having it done. I haven't had one bit of trouble since. The best part was the script for Tylenol 3 liquid w/ codeine! It didn't hurt a bit!

+1 it's no fun to have the surgery but it's better the having problems down the road.
