Drums not live? The only time there was any faking was on American Bandstand as all of them would play with their records on that show. All Jerry was doing was turning his snare off when he played it on Aurthur Murray Dance Party. As far as Buddy's last months before the tour, there is a lot of stuff people don't know. For example, Buddy had told a lot of his close friends and family he was going to get divorced. Maria is the only person who said she was pregnant. There was never a pregnacy test she just said "she knew." Buddy never mentioned a baby to Waylon or Tommy Allsup on the last tour. I could go on. Buddy and his music struck an early chord with me in my youth and I've read and studied everything I could get my hands on. Buddy's music is amazing and lives on. Johnny Isaacs

The singing, guitar and bass playing look live but like I said Allison keeps hitting the same tom and the tone changes.
The video is great in the fact that Jerry Allison and Joe Maudlin do most of the on-camera discussions about Holly and his life. The people in the video all come down pretty hard on Petty in the video. They said Buddy went on the last tour because Petty wouldn't give him the money he owed him. I got the feeling that Buddy wanted to get away from Petty also.
