Proud! *tattoo content*
Today was the day, I went to my local tattoo artists and got it done!
Tintin is my hero, he has been following me through my whole life, he reminds me of all the things that happend to me when I grew up, of my grandmother and I can see myself in him. But it will continue, I will get Captain Haddock and Professor Kalkyl under Tintin, like a totem pole, because I can relate to them too. This thread might be stupid but I just wanted to share since im so happy right now. So do you guys have any tattoos of your heros? ![]()

That's very well done, congrats!
I have no tattoos... I like to keep my skin like it is, but I appreciate it when someone who likes it has a work of art done.

Nice one Jorge!
I don't have heroes as such but i do have some work that i look up to, so to speak. Total aside; i was given a voucher for some work at a 'popular' parlour and decided to book in. The wait is 3 months...grrrr

Its Tintin, the greatest work of comicwriter "Hergé". The story takes place in 1920/30´s Belgium where the journalist "Tintin" lives. He travels all around the world to solve crimes and explore places with his dog "Milou" and his friend "Captain Haddock". He often meet the detectives "Dupont & Dupond" and "Professor Kalkyl".

Nice looking work sir. I didn't know who he was either, but hey, if you're happy with it, that's all that really matters, it does look very well done.
I'm about to enter phase two of my tatoo career. I got four in a year, and then took four years off. Time to get rolling again. It's cool that you got something somewhat unique, that has meaning for you, and didn't just pick something out the shop's book or off their wall. To me, tat's are an extension of your personality, and a statement of individuality. I design and draw all my own. I could not stomach walking down the street, or into a bar, and seeing somebody else with my tatoo. The whole point to me is for it to be unique, and one of a kind. If I ever do see someone with one of mine, I'll know they saw it on me first. Jake

V. cool! Gotta love Tintin! My only tattoo is the Airheads motorcycle club logo on my shoulder. (sorry, no good pics)
But I don't understand why anyone would get a tattoo that they can't see. Unless they really really trust the artist: (If it's too small to read, the tat sez "Stuff this. Goodbye cruel world. This fat b*st*rd is going to kill me when he finds out I'm not really tattooing a big eagle. Please feed my cat and...")

![]() I drew this scooter T-shirt design about six months ago for my Cafepress 'store'. I also posted it on some scooter boards just to show it off. About three weeks ago I was lurking at a large Vespa board when on a thread about tattoos this showed up.... ![]() Too weird! I was able to contact the guy and ask him if it was real or a photoshopped image, but he said that it took two "painful" sittings totalling about six hours to get it done. I'm not a tattoo kind of guy, but I suppose this is kind of the ultimate compliment. |

Nice one, no heros on me, but my son is a tatoo artist and he has done three on me: Celtic Cross on my chest, Family Crest (he designed it) on left arm, St Cecilia (patron St. of musicians) Daisys (wifes favorite flower) and soon to be a half sleeve w/ a harp, lute, intro lick to Layla (grandkid's name) wife's name on back of my right arm.....and whatever else he comes up with....they are addicting!
