Country/delta blues players/resources?

Been playing Muddy Waters stuff for a while and it's gotten me into wanting to play more country/delta blues stuff on my acoustic. Any good players to listen to or resources that would ease me into it (emphasis on the word ease)? I don't want to get straight into Robert Johnson. I'm more interested in slide/delta than fingerstyle blues.

Soundclick is a great resource for Blues music , and many are available as free downloads too .
Some of the best Blues i've heard in a long time occured through listening on that site .
Just takes a bit of fishing through to find the stuff you like , from both signed and unsigned artists alike .

Looking more for traditional players and associated resources to take the next step. Country/delta slide blues (as opposed to fingerstyle) that's not Robert-Johnson complicated. I dunno - Son House or BBQ Bob?

E.g., I've been learning most of the stuff on Bob Margolin's excellent Muddy Water's DVD. Thumpin' bass and some picking with some slide licks thrown in. I've also been working with the Ronnie Earl Blues with Soul DVD, which has a lot of the Chicago style playing on it. I'm still working in that direction but looking for some other acoustic delta stuff to work on...

Rory Block has a lot of instructional material out. Any one use it?

Blind Willie Johnson. Not a lot of hot licks, but tons of soul. Check out "Dark Was the Night, Cold Was the Ground." His singing may make you contemplate the state of your soul. Sony has a 2 disc set of his complete recordings.

It depends on which songs or whose style you want to learn. I have used more of the audio because I can listen to them in the car and at work or with headphones on and it forces me to visualize mentally. The video can only be viewed in front of a TV. Both are great methods.
