USA members: anyone actually going to spend their "economic stimulus check"?

What are you going to do with your economic stimulus check?

I'm planning on re-working one of my home builds... So some of it will go on stuff for that. Thinking about a mini humbucker in a 50's style Tele...

You can see the results of my poll that I took back in February:

reverbbb's tax rebate poll

I would like to know when folks are actually beginning to receive their direct deposits. The news was reporting that some were scheduled to be sent last Monday. I have not heard of anyone yet that has gotten theirs.

Oops, didn't see that one one 'verb.

I for one will be just putting it in the bank and try to survive this "economic down-turn"

The stimulus check won't come close to equaling the check I wrote the IRS a month ago. This is just going to go into bank to cover all the normal stuff. Look at it however you want... a few tanks of gas, half a month's rent...it's all just outgoing money.

I voted "pay off some debt" but I'm going to use a little of it to start a pedal board. I figure I'll stick to fairly inexspensive pedals for now.

It's going in the bank for some home improvements Mrs TeleBrew and I have on the horizon. So it'll get spent in a few months, but will probably go toward our Home Depot card balance ("12 months interest free" will be gone in a few months).

I'm gonna send it back to the government.

There's one heck of a deficit. Somebody needs to cover all these IOUs we've written recently. Once the world realizes our word is no bond, we are finished.

If I got one, it would go toward my mortgage. I don't think that would have any impact on the economy.

What I'm going to use it for: help to pay my second-half property tax bill.

What I'd like to use it for: buy a Foam Green Stratocaster, or Fano JM6 or Grosh Electrajet.
