Who'd cheat on Carrie Underwood?

Carrie Underwood Admits To Being Cheated OnApril 24, 2008, 12:45 pm PDT

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- "American Idol" champ, and singer of infidelity anthem "Before He Cheats," Carrie Underwood opened up to InStyle about her own experiences with a cheating man.

"I've been cheated on a time or two. It's tough," Carrie said in the May issue of the magazine. "I wouldn't recommend doing any property damage, though," she adds, referencing her Grammy-winning song about a woman who seeks revenge on a cheating boyfriend by trashing his truck.

The country cutie has been previously linked to Jessica Simpson's current QB crush, Tony Romo, and "Gossip Girl's" resident dreamboat, Chace Crawford, but the singer would not divulge who stepped out on her.

"Now I'm to the point where you get one shot. Life's too short," Carrie warns any future men in her life.

Regardless of Carrie's past bouts with philanderers, she revealed to the magazine she has found a new sweetie in her life.

"Ice cream is my friend. If anybody sees me eating a sundae and I look unhappy, something bad has happened. I am drowning my sorrows in fudge and caramel and whipped cream," she said

I know I wouldn't!

People who cheat, will cheat on a 700lb circus freak or a super model. It has nothing to do with looks. They have no moral compass.

Who'd go out with her in the first place? A pretty face, sure, but it's attached to the brain that thought "Jesus Take the Wheel" was a good idea.

Maybe "Jesus Take The Wheel" wasn't the smartest song in the world, but Carrie seems like Madame Curie next to Kellie Pickler.

Not me.

Quite a while back I had a similar reaction when, at about the same time, there were reports that Billy Joel cheated on Christie Brinkley and that Richard Gere cheated on Cindy Crawford.

At the time (and still do) thought that Joel and Gere must be the two dumbest men on the face of the earth.

isn't getting cheated on a requirement for a career in country music?

I would. Kelly Pickler is so much smarter, down to earth, low maintenance, and a brilliant conversationalist.

She also has her own chicken ranch full of layers and friers.

What's that on the back of those overalls?

Lord have mercy. If it were me, there's no way I'd cheat on Carrie Underwood. That'd be like throwing away the keys to heaven. Guys like me can only dream of getting women like her.

If I cheat on her, does she have to pay me allomony?
If so, I might consider it if Christina Ricci is up for grabs.

Seriously though, I wouldn't cheat on anybody. If I found someone else, Id inform the other party before proceeding with anything.

+1. Cheaters do what they do. It's not about their partner, it's about them. *everything* is about them. That's what makes it okay (or at least okay enough) to cheat.

This reminds me of that dumb commercial where the guy's sitting next to the beautiful blonde and says that his buddy needs to "vent".

He leaves her to go drink cheap beer with a bunch of dorks.

As someone who has been the victim of a philandering spouse I will say that you must have known my ex Neocaster!!!!
The keyboard player and I have an onstage bit where the lead singer asks us what our ex-wives do to kill the time. We both respond that they spend their weekends in He** giving Satan lessons in being evil.

I have to say that I loved "Jesus take the wheel". It expresses the sense of desperation, fear, insecurity, and remorse that hits (and I am assuming here, because they don't mention it in the song) young, unwed mothers. The metaphor is brilliant and she did a whiz-bang (now there is a term you don't hear too often) job on the vocals.
(Think Hank Hill) "I'll tell you what, brought a tear to my eye a couple of times."

Bill Murray will set this straight in his reference to Old Yellar.
Nauseating Sentimental Glurge, yet he hits the nail on the head.

Glurge in your eyes maybe. Many people (myself included) can absolutely relate to the core message in that song. Whether or not SOME people don't like it has nothing to do with whether or not it was a "good idea" when you're talking about a career. It's made a ton of money and help her career...how's that NOT a good idea?

Colt, I'd argue it's STILL good for him. See my comment above. I never liked ABH...but I cannot argue the fact that BRC has done very well, and primarily because of the start that song gave his career.

This is the most relevant question in my mind.

No, I would not go out with her, or associate with her in any way, unless there was a gig for my band in it. Even then, it would be all business.

Not to me. Selling well does not mean anything other than it sold well. So did Pet Rocks, Britney Spears and the 1910 Fruitgum Company. Don't make it good.
