I have a Motley Crue sticker on the back of '52 AVRI (sorry, no pic).
I hated their music, but loved their attitude.

Here is my 3rd Tele with sticker enhancement:
![]() The 4th has not been photographed yet. And 2 of my 3 non-Tele guitars are stickered: ![]() ![]() The les paul copy has a couple more on the back as well, but I don't have a pic of it.

Even though I have issues with stickers on a guitar, I cannot will not have a case without them. I think it stems from a long ago argument with a drunk at a rather large and out of hand acoustic folk jam over which of two nearly identical cases was mine. Now there is no question, because I use the most obscure stickers I can lay my hands on.

I have my initials inlaid in diamonds on the headstock.
about 5 & 1/2 carat weight of nice gems This is a '59 sunburst strat I picked up for 25K last year.....after inlaying the 7 grand worth of diamonds, they told me I ruined the collectors value! Its worth hardly anything now. So I sold it last week for 1500 bucks. So never inlay any precious gems into the wood on your guitar. Boy did I learn the hard way! just kidding seriously I do have my intials engraved on the truss rod covers of my Gibsons. Subtle, understated and nice.

i used to put a lot of surf and skate stickers on guitars
too many to mention here, but the pickguards of teles and strats are perfect for stickers, and i avoided putting them on flamed maple or sunburst finishes i did have my wife paint one guitar of mine, since i like visual stuff on a guitar, and it's in my profile pic, and then she painted a skateboard, and then a lot of skateboards, and now it's what we do for a job kind of funny how it started with a guitar, so somehow i knew in the end after all these years i would make a living based on guitar :) |

Naw, cases are different. Stickering cases is a good way to identify them. For me that's a necessity, I play in originals bands which means usually 3 bands on a bill, which can in turn mean 10 to 15 guitar/bass cases (or more) all stuck in the same backstage or sidestage area.
![]() The only case I won't sticker is the nice tweed case that my '52 RI came in. But that case usually doesn't go to shows, I transfer the guitar to a different case for the evening when I gig it. My guitars have no stickers but I did put as decal on one guitar that has an indestructible matte finish anyhow: ![]()

Although I started this thread, I have yet to have a guitar with stickers on it. I like MandyMarie's guitar, and as I said, I have put a metal wall mount bottle opener on my guitar. I started looking for other metal pieces to attach to my guitar, but very small signs or letters are hard as hell to find. Or I'm just bad at looking for them!

The only "sticker" I have.
I have a little "Latino Angel" on the "forearm" of my Telecaster. I don't have any stickers on my other guitars. I think the Telecasters just "begs" to have a sticker or 2 put on it.
