I'd have bought better lottery tickets.
Mine seem to have been defective.

No doubt. He's got the range to cover just about anything.

I heard that he insisted on coming out to meet everyone. Let me tell you, it was COLD and late, and he had an early call the next day. Still, he spent 2 hours plus just greeting and meeting at least 4-5 hundred people. That's a guy who appreciates not only his life, but also the people who are giving it to him.

I absolutely, positively, love those fedoras of the 30's and early 40's. You can't find them anywhere, but they are so cool and have such style.
I too am a big JD fan. He is like a chameleon. Every role he takes he becomes.
hey...There's another thing I'd like to have another life to try. Being an actor. Did some in college and community theater and love it.

No regrets here. But if I could go back, there are three things I'd do differently:

1) Worked harder to get into Art School out of high school.
2) Given more time and energy to making a go in the music business.
3) Gone to seminary and gotten ordained as a pastor much sooner than I did.

But, truly, no regrets for the choices I've made or the paths I've walked and am walking.

Would I change anything? Nah, its all relative.

Oh yeah, wish my back/feet didn't hurt so much either.

If I could do it all over again, I'd do it all over a lot of people all over whom I should have done it the first time around.

Wow, nice to hear there are so many folks here who are satisfied with their lives ... lucky bastids.

I grew up playing the trumpet in school, was good, NYSMA grade 6A (the highest possible ranking) - in High School I told my guidance counselor that I wanted to pursue music as a career. He told me, "Don't bother, you'll never get a job." So, I didn't ... he was a jacka**

Not making music my life's focus was the worst mistake I've ever made, and I regret it. Big time.

I've got a wonderful wife, a beautiful baby girl, a job I love, and I'm about two years shy of finishing my PhD. If I had it to do over again, maybe I'd choose to begin teaching earlier and start having children earlier. But those couple years in between helped give me the financial stability to go back to school, and by the time we had our daughter I was ready in every sense of the word. Besides, I wouldn't have the family I have now if I would have taken another route. Maybe I'd choose to erase some of the many dumb things I've done, but maybe not; most of them were a lot of fun.

I wish I had the life of my dog. Nutered, people friendly, wonderful yard, loving family, just eat and sleep, no job, no responsibilities, well kept by someone else...perfect.

Other than being my dog Kirby...I would not change much other than wishing I would have inherited money, and wishing I had a few less "life challenges". But if that were the case, then my life might have been a boring life.

But Kirby seems to be fine with it. (being bored that is)

ha ha

If I could have any life ?

One where the days are longer and the sun is shining

Life is passing by far too quickly .

I look at most of the world and am grateful for all that I have, even though I am not rich, I am compared to much of the world. The only thing I look back on with longing is having an 18 year old body and being able to strap on a helmet and shoulder pads and go at it and being able to go at it all night long if you catch my drift. Oh to be young. Mark.

Well if nothing else I would not have abandoned the guitar for the odd decade here and there. Catch-up is hell.

I used to think I envied the lives of Keith, Eric and Ron Wood but after reading their bios I figger I'm doing pretty good on my own.
