Wow, a bench for under $20. Who'da thought even a few years ago that we'd ever see the day? As others before me have said on this very site, we're living in the Golden Age.

but I already have cheap headphones...maybe I should have gotten that bench before it sold out. It promised years of comfort.

I'll take a cheap guitar over a cheap bench or cheap headphones anyday.

Hey, hey. Let's not go disparaging the bench now, gentlemen.

Yes but you need an official bench to get you that genuine bench sound . A chair or a stool will get you close but it won't be the same.

But new benches just don't have the vintage bench tone we all know and love.

I think we may be getting off topic here. But I assume the AWESOME $40 GUITAR they have a stupid deal on tomorrow will get us back on track.

Tomorrow will be better Colt!

What is it that gives a bench it's distinctive tone? Is it the contact with the wood to the floor or something else? I don't personally own one, just curious.

Bass guitar by ear? I am now missing the oppurtunity to have purchased the stool.

with the stool you had lots of good built in jokes... like if your buddy sat down you could ask him, "may I push in your stool?"

The bass ear training thing... finally you could understand what the thyroid guy in the Statler Bros was actually singing... and you could ape it.

Getbent....D'Addario 80/20 12-53's....I play them on most of my Acoustics.

The Showdown has the gunfighters...that's cool.

I would have a hard time choosing between the Showdown and the Sweethearts.

The Showdown is probably cooler. The vulture watching the gunfighters is too cool. It tells a story.

Think those will be Stupid Deals again like the Epi Jr/SG pack? $100 doesn't even seem like too much for one, but I'd kick myself in the face if I pay double!
