Rhinocaster, that Tele (specifically the 2nd pic) looks so beyond cool, beautiful...holy crap, I don't have enough positive adjectives.

Thanks, I'm really fond of that one. It's very photogenic!

Sure is. What are those dings behind the bridge? I figure they're just plain old dings, but it's curious since they're right behind the bridge and I think there's 6 of them.

Just a part of the finish package. I suppose there supposed to mimic screwdriver marks, but it's a 3 barrel setup, so it's not quite right. It doesn't matter to me. The guitar is just so beautiful to me the way it is!

So let's break out those cameras and get artsy!

I was thinking along different lines. I do love Simon Posthuma's work.

With this composition, I've tried to capture the essence of the contrasting materials - the warm, organic feel of the carbon against the cold metallic shine of the nickel-silver. The overlay of the strings gives a strong perpendicular feel as the strings fade out of the picture. This is a metaphor for the musical experience.

Nah! I just pushed "macro" and clicked the button. I wouldn't know how to use a camera artistically any more than a guitar...

I knew you'd show up John! Great stuff guys. If we get a strong reaction here, I'll put a poll up and I'll create a TDPRI calendar for 2009. With the permission of the owners of the photos of course!

Yes, it's a Lace 'Alumitone'.

I've never heard one myself, so I can't tell you anything about them other than they look cool.

Bruce Bennett, who's company is building my guitar designs chose those pickups for this model (most of my original drawings show single coils, usually 'lipstick' type) which I've never seen yet, and won't until he sends me one of the guitars, probably late May or June sometime according to his building schedule.
