Do you mind me asking what that set you back? It is sweet. I love the natural wood look on those. I think I mentioned this in a previous thread but I picked up a Gibson SG and then compared it to an Epi SG. I'm sorry but the Gibson beats that Epi all to hell! What a nice feeling the neck had and a really light body. It was sweet! Enjoy that!! Congrats on that sweet thang!

It was around 1500$ (I traded in the SG Faded, and the prices on those have gone INSANE lately so I got more for it on trade than I paid for it )

I played every SG in the joint Epi and Gib. And I have no fetish for Gibsons, but this one was head and shoulders above the Epiphones they had. It's got that 'slim taper 60s neck' which I wasn't sure about but has really grown on me. The neck joins way down, and the 22nd fret is actually easy to reach. Now I just have to learn how to adjust a TOM and I'm set.

You'd probably like the Classic -- I've had one for a few months now. I think they're only sold through Guitar Center/Musician's Friend...

Congrats on your new guitar. I have a Faded SG and it's just a joy to play.
