DVR Alert - Crowes on Leno 3/21

One night after (what I heard was) their amazing show at the Wiltern in LA, the Black Crowes are on Leno tonight.

It was great, but the guests could not have been worse and I almost missed the BCs. Man, that was way too short.

The Crowes are a great band. Thanks for posting the link. I always find myself looking at the gear bands are using. I couldn't tell what guitar Rich Robinson was using. It looked like a Tele with 3 buckers on it. And I couldn't tell what the tweed stack was either. Anyone know?

There should be a hi-res clip on hulu.com in a few days too. Not sure what those tweed combos were, but I'm SURE that cylindrical object sticking perpendicularly up out of the ashtray which was set on TOP of the amps was a bl - I mean a cigar butt.

Rich has an ok gear section on his (outdated) web page...still, I can't place those amps (but someone here will). Tweed, white chicken head knobs...it wasn't his usual Harry Joyce gear...

.
Um, ok, sometimes you just want things to be true cuz it's a better story. Watched the performance in HD about 6x, and I think the suspicious object in the ashtray is actually Rich's slide.

I would personally like to thank xjazzy for that link. They are my favorite band. I was bummed I missed it. Thanks.
That was no tele Rich was playing. Don't know what it was though?
Just a little tidbit, I'm getting the crowe from the Warpaint CD tattooed on my forearm on Monday or Tuesday. I think it's a kickass design.
They are so cool to watch. Chris's voice is killer. So reminds me of Joplin era. Love the oriental rugs too.
