He eventually carried a note from his doctor with him in his wallet.
The same can happen to diabetics having a sugar low. I've heard that certain chemical reactions that take place can even make it smell like the person has been drinking.

This entire thread has made me feel very confused, hungry, slightly paranoid and yet strangely mellow. Anyone got chips?

I am middle aged, so I would have to say many decades ago or more. I think of tobacco, alcohol, credit cards, obesity, sex, a pill for any ill, the list could probably go on, but it's not my intention to cause trouble.

Most of us here have the perfect addiction - our guitars and music making. Think about it. It's easily an outlet for OCD and addictive behavior but keeps the mind sharp and most guitars hold value well compared to spending at a bar, on drugs, a casino, shoes.....

:)

I bought my guitar in a bar, while tweaking on Metamuscel, in Vegas, while looking for new wingtips. Is this addictive behavior?

First they smoked.

Then they ate the coconut cream pie.

Then Gilligan turned to the Professor........"Hey man.....how do I know the that taste that I get from coconut cream pie, is the taste that you get from coconut cream pie?"

Then the Proffesor and the Skipper just stare at each other and say................"WWhhhooooooaaaaaaaaaa man!......far out!"

Maybe I should have qualified addiction as POT addiction. I see pot as something kids experiment with then quit and grow up. Many that don't go down the drain. I just don't see drugs as a socially acceptable lifestyle. More important things like raising family, kids to be good responsible citizens.

People are suppose to gain wisdom with age. I look around and see who the older potheads are in my community; and their kids seem to follow in their footsteps; maybe because they have seen it done at home all their lives. Just leads to problems I do believe no matter how anybody soft pedals it.

I'm just glad my 17 year old is into body building, health foods, and where his life is heading at UAF when he starts a semester early this nx xmas. I look around and see alot of the local jokers hanging out smoking dope and not having a clue about their future; just not a good gameplan for life.

[quote=ibobunot;1152570]If it was alcohol, pot never had any effect on my driving back in the day.

Back in the day('75), me and five of my buds were driving home from a party in my Dad's car....it was raining hard. I didn't have anything to drink , but I was struggling to keep it between the ditches. All of a sudden, flashing lights behind us....a couple of the guys really didn't want to be "interviewed" by a policeman, so I did my best to maintain my composure while they dispersed something out the windows. I barely managed to pull over slowly and carefully....as the tow truck went around us....

This goes a long way toward explaining why 1000 people visited that island, and they still never managed to get off.
Now that I think about it, I guess they were getting off.

EXACTLY!! think about it.... the Mosquitos(rock band), a laid back surfer dude, a crazy wwII vet(you know the japanese soldier who thinks the war is till going on), the list goes on...all fitting the drug user profile.
but then again...don't we all?

Let's be honest. Pot would be legal if the government could figure out a way to tax it.

Well, skydawg's time is up. I'll try it.
