I wouldn't choose Scotland at the moment 11 Gauge. I won't go into detail as much of it would take us into political territory. How about Cork, Ireland? Far enough south that the climate isn't half as bad as much of the UK.

Come to Australia. Seriously, apart from a lack of castles, royal families and other olde worlde trappings, we have just about anything a sensible human being could want. We need more Tele wranglers, too!

...and wouldn't you know it, I also have an infinitesimal amount of Cherokee in my family tree. My great-great grandmother Arvila Rogers was born in Oklahoma and was either full or half Cherokee. There's a fair chance that she was related to Will Rogers as well.

Might as well get famous people in there, too. My great-grandfather's sister was married to Buffalo Bill Cody's brother. No lie!

Cheers, Tim

Hi Tim - we all speak English apart from a very small percentage and they can speak English when speaking to non-gaelic speakers.

Most likely you met someone from Cork and thought they were speaking a different language

Reminder:

or could have been accents from any other part of the country for that matter...

Coogie.

Bit of a co-inky-dink you posting that when you did... I just got in from a gig with a Cork man I work with every so often - he's a fine musician and a nice feller, but I swear to God I can only understand about one word in every three he speaks!
