At one point during the pregnancy the dr. thought the baby might be a bit small, so my wife and I started praying for him. We now reckon we could have quit praying a couple of weeks ago...

Both my son and daughter-in-law are tall (he's 6' 3", she's 5' 10"), and she's big-boned. She didn't ever look too big, even at the end. And she reported that her labor wasn't too bad til the end, when she took just a bit of pain med to take the edge off, and said she didn't feel as bad today as she expected she would. Tired, of course. Nursed the baby right off and easily, a real blessing. All my kids were nursed and it gave them a real good start, physically and probably emotionally, too.
