If I like Dr. Feelgood and the Pirates... suggestions?
I've really gotten into bands like Dr Feelgood, The Pirates, the Inmates, Eddie and the Hot Rods, and The Count Bishops over the last few years. I was wondering if there are any bands in this harder-edged Pub Rock vein that Im missing out on and I should check out.
For those who dont know what Im talking about, check out these clips: Dr. Feelgood: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jmIYyskDM8 Pirates: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nG4TXUkGL9Y |

This is my favourite type of music to go see on a night out, and I have been lucky enough to support some of the bands mentioned.
Still quite a healthy interest for this sort of stuff, I would add Rockpile, Wilko Johnson and Nine Below Zero to your listening list. Stax |

Thanks for the help- yeah Ive got The Motors, Tyla Gang, and Ducks Deluxe, Mickey Jupp, and Wilko Johnson stuff as well... all GREAT stuff! Even have some good Pub Rock from the Pleasers and Charlie and the Wide Boys too. And Graham Parker's "Back To Schooldays" is a perfect example of this hard-driving pub rock that Im looking for, if anyone else is looking for suggestions.
I'll have to look into Nine Below Zero though. |

Found this thread looking for another - you need to find the Lew Lewis Reformer's "Save the Wail". Lew was a harp player who fronted Eddie and the Hot Rods for an hour or so...
