Lessee.... my favorite Beatles song would be side 2 of Abbey Road. Failing that, I would probably cover Oh Darling (but I can pull that one off vocally).

Stones - Monkey Man or Live With Me.

Stones or Beatles?

Either "Get Back" by the Beatles or "Midnight Rambler" By the Stones.

But the Stones would always be my 1st choice. Do the Beatles even have any 10 min. Jam songs?

Honkytonk Woman or While my guitar gently weeps.
Those would be my choices, in order of preference, but not necessarily.

Way too hard a question I think. There's too much. The Stones off Sticky Fingers "Take me Down" little Suzie. That's really great guitar work too on that one.

My favourites would be She's Leaving Home v Angie

However, if you're talking about playing crowd pleasers that work for a cover band: I saw her standing there v Honky Tonk Woman.

Wilkat1 is right: definitely "Monkey Man." Good call!

For Beatles, "I Am the Walrus."

Maybe I should just play something by the Animals...

Beatles: Paperback Writer (alternates: Ticket To Ride, I Saw Her Standing There)

Stones: The Last Time (alternates: Under My Thumb, Paint It Black, It's All Over Now)

...but I'd rather do some Who and Kinks music!

Cheers, Tim

"I want to tell you" & Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)

the second wouldn't really fit my band... but I do dig it.

If it had to be my band... I'd hillbilly up "have you seen your mother baby (standin in the shadow)

When I was gigging last year, "Slow Down" and "Honky Tonk Women" were on every gig's set list...

And yeah, I know "Slow Down" is actually a Larry Williams song...

Tough to chose.

Beatles - "Yer Blues"

About This Video
Mick Jagger presents John Lennon with Eric Clapton playing guitar, Keith Richards playing the bass, and Mitch Mitchell (Jimi Hendrix Experience) drums.
Yer Blues

Stones - "Under My Thumb"

edit: "Time Is on My Side" would be more popular. Or "Heart of Stone"

What I'd most like to play differs much from what I think is their best but... I love these...

Beatles = While My Guitar Gently Weeps.

Stones = Girl With Far Away Eyes.

Okay, my actual favorite Beatles song is A Day in the Life (or side 2 of Abbey Road as I alluded to earlier - that IS one long song, isn't it?)

But I'm sticking with Monkey Man for the Stones. Or maybe Live With Me. Guess what my favorite Stones album is!
