old gibson sg + old twin for 2.500 eurobucks!!!!

i am green with envy guys. out of the blue a guitarstudent of mine rings the frontdoor bell and wants me to have a look at a guitar. he opens the case and what do i see: a late 60ies gibson sg, unmolested, with vibrato tailpiece and a small crack in the body/neck department. sounds fantastic! he tells me he is about to buy it from retired dance-musician who had the stuff lying around the last 15 years and does not have internet. the guitar will need a pro repair and new frets, the amp a decent check and maybe new tubes. can you believe that! the whole package will go for 2.000- 2.500 euros. that guy is soooooo lucky. and he is welathy enough to pay it without thinking twice about it. i am shocked!

They all cracked there. As long as the neck isn't loose, it's fine.

I worked with a guy that got a 73 Les Paul and a Pro Reverb for $100. Bought it from a doctor he worked with. THe doctor was owed $ 100 by the owner and he was in jail and not getting out anytime soon. So he took a $100..Talk about being in the right place at the right time
