us or them / poll

Someone said I asked this question in the wrong place on this site. They said I should post it here.

So I'll try this again.

Here goes:

You have three choices to answer: A, B, or Abstain.

I am not looking for another option ( like creating another choice, okay? )

Please just answer A or B !

Thanks!

Here's the question.

Your band finishes a song. You get a real nice positive response from the audience.

Is it better to:

A) Say the name of the orriginal recording artist: as in " Thanks...that was
( classic rock artist )"

or

B) Say the name of your band: as in " Thanks! We're the TDRPI Band !"

So which do you think is better to do, A or B ?

Thanks in advance!

C. Neither

Sorry couldn't resist...There is no 'better' way. Do whatever YOU feel is right. The way I see it if you are doing a song which isn't obviously a cover or maybe an obscure B-side few know about and you feel the need to tell everyone what it was out of some kind of guilt then go for it otherwise you might piss people off if you for instance say, "That was a Beatles song" after playing Hey Jude and they might think, "No kidding Sherlock"

The answer is A. and B.

Is there any point to this thread?

With respect, you've already asked the question once in another almost identical thread, which has received 33 replies.

There comes a time when I'm afraid you'll just have to give up and accept the inevitable....

Yep. We are as one in our perfect not-getting-it-ness.

Maybe if you explained the problem you're trying to solve?...

Neither choice happens to be a very good one, for reasons you've already read.

This is virtually identical to your other thread, so I'm locking it.
