Hard to find good live Drive-By Truckers footage

Usually pretty hard anyhow. But this one's pretty good.

truckers footage.

I bought their live DVD. Dirty South. Its really amazing. Recorded in a bar the way it was meant to be.

Now I want to see some footage with their new guitarist.

The Dirty South is the last one by them that I got. I think I'm a CD or 2 behind by now! A lot of great story teller songs on Dirty South. The last tracks on their albums alway kill. "Goddanm Lonely Love" is one of those ones I could listen to on repeat for a long time.

The Truckers are a great band and their new CD, Brighter Than Creation's Dark, is killer, probably among the best work the band's done.

Saw DBT a week ago Monday at the Slowdown in Omaha. They tore the roof off the joint.

That one, I never heard of. B&N has several I don't have.

"Pizza Deliverance" 1999

"A Blessing and a Curse" 2006 (that's the most recent one I was aware of)

"Gangstabilly" [Remastered]

And they have "Brighter Than Creation's Dark" 2008

"Decoration Day" is still my favorite (of the ones I have)

I should probably get the 2 most recent ones.

Heh, the autosensor usually doesn't catch dyslexic spelling. But you didn't hear it from me.

Love the band, seen them on the last couple of UK tours. The new album is great - nice that Shonna Tucker is singing now too. I thought they'd suffer minus Jason but we've two great acts! I love Pizza Deliverance, Dirty South & the Southern Rock Opera along with the new one the best.

I think I was at the show when that was filmed. It was at the Georgia Theater in Athens, GA, a place where some great acts like the Police and the Replacements played years before. It's a real shame that Jason Isbell left. While DBT are great band regardless, Isbell was the Michael McDonald to their Doobie Brothers- he wrote and sang their most memorable songs and the band just took on a new aura when he was involved. I think they're better together, but who knows, Uncle Tupelo spawned two incredible bands.

You beat me to it! I need to get that one, and the last one too. I dragged my feet so long about "A Blessing and a Curse" that they released another CD.
