Thanks Jim, but the two lefties are mine......
Orange Zion '50 with 2002 Parsons White b-bender, and Mannmade bridge, courtesy of Music One Workshop, and G&L ASAT Classic with added pickups and 1994 Joe Glaser b/g benders.
At home that day were the G&L ASAT with 1992 Glaser b bender with ASAT Saddle-lock bridge, and the '74 Telecaster with Parsons White b bender. and vintage style 3 saddle ashtray bridge. The favorite varies from day to day, but the Classic is always the "go to" guitar. |

duck - actually, no...I'm not a Marty Stuart fan at all, to say the least. I DO like Clarence White though - that's who had the guitar before Marty, had the bender developed by Gene Parsons and was the all-time king of stringbenders.
Smokey - the Orange "righty" is mine - it's a custom-built one by TV Jones with a PW Bender, '68'ish neck and real '68 bridgeplate, VH bridge pickup, custom wound Duncan neck pickup, 4-way switch, push-pull phase switch and push-pull mid boost. FWIW the one in the pic with the Vibroverb amp was built by Mike Nihen at the Stringpull guitar shop - VH pickup harness, long-throw PW bender, Keith pegs on both "E"'s and a double-thick body hiding the bender mechanism. Most resonant Tele I own.

Rick - I spewed Cheetos all over the screen!
For those who don't get the joke - just say you're a black-hat Nudie fan. Trust me on this.

Bender Here
Got me a Fender Nashville B Bender a few years ago. I have tinkered with a dozen PUPs.
This should be a useful site for me ... hope there are lots of licks posted .. cause I still really only know a few. I think the reason is that I never practice with strap on standing up.

No pics, but I have the Bender
Mine is just like the ones above. 97' Sunburst Alder Bender. Broadcaster in the bridge, MIM neck pu. I could not be happier with the sound. It is still one of the most beautiful guitars I have ever seen.
I don't play with the bender much because I am not where I want to be as a player yet, but it won't be long.

Calling Mur...Rbrsl97(?).......Drake...etc......
Seriously, folks, there a spirit of mischieviousness on this board. I would like to find a Plymouth Valiant logo to put on my guitar in honor of my first two cars. Has anyone linked up the CWF yet?

can't post
pics, but mine can be seen here: www.sunshinedelay.com
It's a Japanese Jerry Donoghue, with 2 Bardens and a P-90, a reshaped neck, Sperzels and a Hipshot D-tuner...oh, and a Parsons/White bender! It also sports signatures of some of the people we've gigged with, Peter Green, Dave Alvin, Bill Kirchen, Gurf Morlix and Jason Ringenberg, with whom I toured as a duo. It's interesting how once you find a good bender there turns out to be an evn MORE esoteric world to confuse you, ie all the long-throw/short-throw debates, the different manufacturers and their merits/demerits etc etc Still, benders are cool, and that's what matters, really :P |

bending
I've been bending for 20+ years with a Hipshot, then a Parsons-White. No pics, but my no. 1 is an old red body with a new 50's classic neck, Parsons-White standard-throw (3/4") bender, Velvet Hammer p'ups, TBX in the bridge, S1R at the neck, 4-way switch & booster toggle switch from Stringpull, grooved steel saddle for E&B strings, two compensated brass saddles for the rest. Pretty much a disciple of Clarence White guitar styles, electric & acoustic. Also play slide, pedal steel, Dobro, mandolin, etc.
