Has Anyone bought from McVay????

Hey guys anyone buy any Benders from Charlie McVay?? This is a stupid question but if you have.. was there tax? and if so, how much for a single bender.. I know the Bender itself cost $750.00 + $25.00 for a neck insert... The reason i ask is because ill be down to the last tens of dollars after wards but i really want this, ive been saving and have tryed one and really liked it...sorry stupid question but thanks anyways!!

The $25 is for four threaded inserts and then mounting the neck using mechine screws. It is optional, but i recommend it. It clamps the neck tighter into the pocket and you'll probably also notice a big sustain improvement.

Yes, i just got a Mcvay bender in my main tele recently. It is worth every penny and worth the wait. The bender is flawless. Charlie's machining is incredibly precise. The bender is smooth in operation, guaranteed forever, silent, tension adjustable, and just an absolute joy to play.

I am 100% thrilled with my Mcvay b bender.

Im not positive of the laws, but i think if you ship it to him, and he ships it back to you being out of state, that there would be no tax. I guess that was your actual question.

It took about 8 months to get my tele back from mcvay. His benders are outstanding though and definetly worth the wait.

Charlie also helped me out, when my guitar got lost in the mail. Very helpful!

Hey guys i forgot i even posted this.. haha but i will probably contact Charlie again in august when i have more money to pay it in full since i just payed off my replacment guitar :) Its a MIM FSR Black Paisley Tele.. Thanks for the answers and my other question was how does Mr. McVay charge for the bender? Do you have to pay all at once or can i pay half to begin and half once its done? I have about $400 right now and will have another $500 ($900 total) to spend mid august.

Www.mcvaybenders.com the website says $750 is the current price and you pay your shipping.

I would contact him ditectly with your payment method and down payment questions.

I would also ask him about his expectedt wait time, as it is all dependent on his current work load.
