WD Bender

Has anyone used or built a tele with the bender body and mechanism from WD Music? How well do they go together and how is the quality?

Here is a link:

Yep i put one together about 9 years ago using the WD ready routed body and a genuine parsons white mech which wd supplied in them days. So using that combination it went together very well, the only daunting bit i found was sticking the main hub part using quick set araldite into the guitar body.
I can't understand why more people don't go in this direction, works great.....i can't see there being much difference in the mech nowadays, so should be o.k.
Quality was great, used a wd slightly vee neck....
This is the guitar, not using the bender in this clip though....the body was ready finished when i purchased it.

Regards
Rob

The benders that WD offer now are built by Bill Bores in Houston, TX, and are GREAT, They are easy to put together and are based on Gene Parsons orignal..

I'm sorry, no disresspect to Fender Parson/Green owners, but the PW design is so much better and lighter, I'd build my own and the WD stuff is the way to go.
