Hipshot Bender - Using the Lever for the G

Hi guys, i'm new here. I'm about to purchase a Hipshot bender, the one with the B hip lever, G palm lever and drop D lever.

I'm heavily into Brad Paisley stuff, and he uses a G bender rather than a B, so i was wondering if i'd be able to move the hip lever across 1 string, and just use the hip lever for the G?

Also the palm lever doesn't look very easy to use really

Cheers!

Hi, I fancy having acrack at one of these. Where do you get'em? I do believe that the hip lever can be moved to the other strings so better to sling the palm pedal. Please let me know what it turns out like. Regards.

All you need to move them is the right size of snap ring pliers.
If you want to bend both the B and G strings, I'd reccommend leaving it as is.
If you just want to bend the G, then just get a bender with the one lever (and drop D if you want it), Then move the bender to the G string.

Actually, I really like the palm lever. On my main bender guitar I have done the opposite of what you are planning to do - I removed the hip lever and moved the palm lever from G to B.

Awesome, I will let you guys know how it pans out. I've just seen a few on Ebay in the states for about £120 for the B, G and drop D thing. But the one without the palm pedal is like £80, so i think i'll get that.

Thanks for your help guys! I'll let ya'll know how it works out

Hey guys! Got the bender this morning. Gonna spend the day learning some licks and stuff. Managed to move the bender arm to the G, but it got in the way of my strap lock, so I put the strap lock in the top screw hole. Works great! Thanks for all your help!
