Thinking about getting a bender
Hi y'all. Now I've got the bug for a bender. I have a couple of options. There's a new store in town that has a 96 A.S. w/ a P-G bender. I can trade even up for my '99 52 RI that I just can't bond with.
The other option is to wait until the tax refund and have a bender installed in one of my Tele's. If I take the 2nd option then I can rule out the new Esquire and a blue flower Tele. What would you do?? Joel

Thanks y'all
Unless this bug passes, I'll most likely have a bender installed in my Nashville Deluxe.

Hey,
I've been playin' Teles now since I got my first one in 1968. While on the road again, 30 years later, I saw a new Fender B-Bender (sunburst) hangin' on the wall at a Detroit Guitar Center. Not only was it gorgeous to look at, but the natural 'acoustic' ring and sustain was awesome. That, plus curiousity made me buy it! It drove me nuts trying to make me sound like Albert Lee I've never tried the other Benders out there because I'm totally satisfied with the Parsons/Green setup from Fender. My personal tonal tastes made me change the neck & bridge pups to Fender's Vintage Noiseless (I can't take 60 cycle hum) and I also swapped out the middle Texas pup with a SD Vintage Flat. Like one of the other folks said earlier, you'll keep it forever! No matter which one you choose, I'm sure you'll have a blast! :D

I've messed around with the B-bender Tele at the music store countless times. I may be wrong about this but I just can't justify the guitar. I know that I'm not familiar with playing a bender but, I just don't think I'm a good enough picker to go to a bender yet. I'd ask y'all to change my mind but it's too late......I've already spent the money on amps. Joel

Bender Finance
Do what poor musicians do, get a musiciansfriend or music123.com card and pay $37 a month to finance a new one. At least that is what I did. If you don't like it, send it back. I kept mine and couldnt be happier. You can always panhadle with your giutat on the steet to pay it off.
