Nashville West tab
I know this is a tab request, but I thought more Clarence White fans would read it here...
Anybody got the tab to 'Nashville West'? I've read it is pre-bender. Can anyone confirm and/or provide tab? I couldn't find any through multiple searches. Thanks.

Clarence's Nashiville West was indeed written and played pre-bdenr by Clarence (Check out the Nashville West CD) but Clarence continued to play it when he was with the BYrds and by that time he had the Bender and integrated some bender licks. The key licks for the song though are played without a Bender by pulling the high E (tuned down to D) string behind the nut along with bend ups on the thrid string second fret..No bender needed
Here's you go...it's cross posted on the Clarence White forum...a site that I maintain http://www.bbenderguitars.com/CWforu...opic.php?t=311 and here's a version that I transcribed myself from the Byrds Live 1969 Fillmore CD ![]()

Brian, thanks for that. I found that at your site but I don't spend much time there because it's blocked at work for sex content - which, having seen your forum from home, I cannot understand.
Anyway, just wanted to add a word of thanks for this and the other transcriptions I've downloaded from the CWF! |

Glad to help. It's hard to believe that I transcribed that almost 10 years ago now. I still keep my eye on teles and benders but mostly have moved on to bluegrass flatpicking. The tonequest that tele users go through led me right back to D18's and D28's ;-)
