Problem with new Hipshot

I have gotten my new Hipshot installed and I'm having a blast with it. It came with the G palm lever and the Drop D toggle. However, something is going on I don't understand.

The action on my G and B strings has become extremely stiff. It is next to impossible to do a simple full step bend on either and in fact the B string is so stiff that I can't do a "behind the nut bend" at all. It is like pressing a on solid steel shaft between the nut and the tuners. I have greased the nut, string tree and everywhere else the string contacts the guitar.

Is this normal or do I have a gremlin of some sorts creating a problem for me?

As always, thanks in advance for any help offered.

Very strange. Never had anything like that occur with mine. I'm sure one of the real experts (jhayes or benderfreak) will be able to talk you through this! In the meantime, enjoy that new toy!

Can't believe I did this

Problem solved. The strings I put on were some spares I have accumulated whenever I broke a single string etc. Anyway, I double checked myself and discovered I put a 16 gauge Fender Bullet for a B string. I thought it was an 11 gauge LOL!!!

My excuse is gonna be my eyesight is poor, which is true but not THE truth. THE truth is I was in a rush and should have paid more attention. I think I'll award myself 1st Prize for the "All Time Dumba*#" question ever posted on any forum at TDPRI
