Home brew B bender, here it is!
At last this is up and running, after weeks of head scratching and much work. Turned out pretty good, but my good lady has developed an aversion to sawdust and metal filings!.
Pics could be better, but you get the gist. Specs:- Allparts TMO Fat neck, nitro finished, Kluson tuners, Tusq nut. Self routed part douglas fir (Oregon pine), part pine, chambered body, Tru- oiled finish. Voodoo TE50 bridge, Keystone Tele neck, pickups, 4 way switch. Mini toggle activates stealth Strat pickup, under leather pickguard. Brass ferrule block (thanks for the idea Taipan) sits over brass bush carrier for back bearing of actuator, front bearing a small ball race in alloy carrier. Two additional small ball races provide front and back bearings for strap actuated lever. Length of throw adjustable (currently .9"), as is pull rod length and spring tension. The swivel bracket fixed to the top strap button is to lock off the bender mechanism via small knurled knob set screw. Two piece flush mounted plexiglass bender cover. All up weight 7lb 3oz. |

Nice JayBee! I'm sure she's even sweeter knowing you did the whole job yourself.
